Ray Columbus and The Invaders recorded their first single in 1963 after signing with the Zodiac label. In
early 1964, the band's first album titled Every Nite, which included the single She's A Mod was released.

Across the Tasman in Sydney, when Ray Columbus and The Invaders appeared at the 2UW Radio Theatre, Sydney went Mod-Mad with She's A Mod going to number one and staying there for eight weeks. Singles Ku-Pow and the cover of The Beatles, I Wanna Be Your Man, were also big hits on both sides of the
